Darts training with a score to beat
Drills with a score, kept in your history: doubles, trebles, Bob’s 27, checkouts and Around the World, and a coach that names the next one worth throwing.
Open the appPractice without a score is a warm-up. 9Darts scores the drills players actually use, keeps every attempt in your history, and reads the results back to you as a suggestion of what to throw next.
The drills
- Round the board on doubles — 1 to 20, then the bull, and only the double ring moves you on. The drill that fixes finishing.
- Round the board on trebles — the same journey on the treble ring. Scoring practice that makes you throw at the numbers you avoid.
- Bob’s 27 — start on 27 and throw three darts at each double from 1 to 20, then the bull. Each hit adds the double’s value, three misses take it away, and below one the run is over. The drill for nerve.
- Checkout practice — twenty finishes worth knowing, from 170 down to 8, with three visits to take each one out and the route on screen while you throw. The drill for knowing the way out.
- Around the World — any ring of the number moves you on. A game in its own right, which two people or two phones can play.
Scored, kept, compared
Each drill ends with a score — the darts it took, the points Bob’s 27 leaves you, or the numbers you checked out — and goes into the history beside your matches, so you can see this month against last and where the runs die.
The coach
One sentence, built from your statistics: the doubles drill when one double keeps missing, Bob’s 27 when finishing is what costs you legs, the trebles drill when the treble twenty is not landing. Two suggestions at most, never a nag, and nothing hidden — the figures it reads are on the statistics screen.
How to practise with it
Ten minutes before a match: one round on doubles, then a leg against the bot a level above you. Twice a week: Bob’s 27 to the end, and write nothing down — the app did.

Common questions
Are the drills free?
Yes — all of them, with the history kept. Ads appear between games and never while you throw.
What is Bob’s 27?
A doubles drill: start on 27, throw three darts at each double from 1 to 20 and then the bull. Each hit adds the double’s value — two for double one, forty for double twenty — three misses subtract it, and below one you are out. Finishing with more than you started on is the first target.
Does the coach replace a coach?
No. It reads a few numbers and names a drill. A real coach watches your stance.
