301 darts scorer — the quick game, scored on your phone
Score 301 online: the short pub format, double-in optional, busts at low scores by the rules, and the same checkouts, bot and two-phone play as 501.
Open the app301 is the short game: the same darts, the same doubles, a third less scoring. A leg takes a strong pair a few minutes and a pub pair not many more, which is why it is the format for a quick one before the food arrives and for the venues where the board is shared.
Why 301 plays differently
Starting on 301 rather than 501, you are in finishing range after two good visits — and the whole leg turns on the double sooner. A missed double costs more of the leg, and busting is a real risk at scores 501 players rarely sit on: 2 and 3 can only be finished one way each, and a 1 is a bust before the dart lands.
Double-in, where it is played
Many 301 leagues play double-in: nothing counts until you have hit a double. The toggle is in the format sheet, and with it on the scorer ignores every dart until the first double lands and then counts that dart — exactly as the rule reads.
The same scorer
Everything the 501 scorer does: one tap a dart on the grid, the board or the numpad; checkout routes from 170 down, and at 301 you are rarely above it for long; legs and sets; a bull-off; undo across turns; the bot at five averages; and the two-phone duel.
What the app does not decide for you
Whether the match is 301 or 501, straight-in or double-in, how many legs, who throws first — those are yours, in the format sheet and the bull-off. The app remembers the last format you played.

Common questions
How many darts does a leg of 301 take?
A 60 average finishes 301 in about fifteen darts, a 40 average in about twenty-three. Six darts is the minimum — 180, then a 121 finish.
Is double-in standard in 301?
In many pub leagues yes, in others no. The app leaves it as a toggle: straight-in by default, double-in when the format says so.
Can I switch between 301 and 501?
They sit side by side on the first screen. Pick either; the format and the names carry over.
